- Soil Type: Plant Crocosmia in well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter, such as loamy or sandy soil with a neutral pH.
- Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season, watering deeply when the top inch feels dry, but avoid waterlogging.
- Sun Exposure: Position Crocosmia in full sun, ideally receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for optimal growth and flowering.
- Spacing: Space plants 12 to 18 inches apart to allow for their spreading habit and proper air circulation.
- General Maintenance: Apply a balanced fertilizer in early spring and deadhead spent flowers to encourage more blooms; cut back leaves to the ground in fall after the leaves die back.
