- Soil Type: Plant Sango Kaku Japanese Maple in well-drained, acidic to neutral soil with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.0.
- Watering: Water regularly during the first year of growth to establish a deep root system; give 1-2 inches of water weekly, adjusting based on weather conditions.
- Sun Exposure: Position the plant in partial shade, ideally with morning sun and afternoon shade, to prevent leaf scorch.
- Spacing: Space the trees at least 10-15 feet apart to allow for their full width and prevent overcrowding as they mature.
- General Maintenance: Prune in late winter or early spring to remove any dead or crossed branches and to shape the tree. Fertilize annually with a balanced fertilizer to promote healthy growth.
